FAQs

When can I enrol?

Aspire enrolment occurs three times per year (January, March/April and September), and due to the way the learning works you won’t be able to sign up for courses outside of the enrolment period. This is to make sure everyone gets their full learning experience and fair access to the courses. You will see announcements on our social media and on our news page when we are getting ready to begin a new term.

How do I enrol?

Aspire enrolment is quick and simple. To avoid unnecessary attendances at our centre and make the experience more accessible for our women, registration for Aspire courses is now by email and telephone only.

Please reserve your place by calling 0191 389 1504 or sending an email to enquiries@aspire-northeast.co.uk during the enrolment period (see above) Aspire will then contact you to take the next easy steps to complete your registration.

What courses are available?

Aspire courses (including days, times and descriptions) will appear in full before each term on our website and social media. You can ask for course information by emailing our learning team at enquiries@aspire-northeast.co.uk or telephoning 0191 389 1504.

Do courses cost anything?

There is a £3 admin fee for each course but this is not payable until your place is confirmed.

How many courses can I sign up to?

There is no limit on how many courses you can sign up for, although we do ask you think about what you will enjoy and what will benefit you most as well as the needs of other women. If you are uncertain which courses are best for you, contact our learning team.

How long do courses last?

Aspire courses last 8 to 10 weeks and start approximately one week after enrolment opens. Important dates will be published to our social media and website in advance of enrolment opening.

Will I need access to a computer?

To maintain consistency and safety with our services around Covid-19 we have adopted a joint provision model for Aspire courses. This means that some elements of learning may be online rather than in centre, so you may need access to a computer or smart phone with internet. If you are not able to get online but would like to enrol on a course please contact us.
